zVM Resource System Monitor

If you have the VM privilege classes set for your userid, then you are now ready to run the monitor.
Issue the supplied CMS exec named

VMRSMZ

which will set the environment and then invoke the program module.

Now refer to our User's Guide.

Virtual Machine Requirements

 CMS virtual machine ESA mode.
 Privilege class: 'G + E' (to permit Diagnose Instruction X'04' sampling)
 Minumum required virtual machine size: 64M
 Terminal: any emulated or real IBM 3270 Model 2, 3 or 4
 Overhead: minimal, most of the time monitor is in an enabled wait between sampling intervals. 
 No zVM/CP System Control Program 'hooks'.
 No changes to any other product or feature are necessary.
 

All information feeds are by way of sampling the CP Data Areas and Control Blocks using the Diagnose X'04' instruction.
